Aquatic Centre Accessibility Features
West Vancouver Community Services is committed to providing all members of our community dignified access to our programs and services. We work with the community to provide meaningful leisure experiences for people with disabilities and work with individuals to ensure their needs are met.
The West Vancouver Aquatic Centre is one of the most accessible aquatic facilities in the Lower Mainland and includes the following:
- Wheelchair accessible shower and washroom facilities in our Men’s, Women’s and Family Change Room, including 2 change rooms ch with a ceiling lifts and adjustable changetable
- Ramped entry into the therapeutic family hot tub and leisure pool with seating in both pools for exercising and relaxing
- Pool lift and wide stairs for patrons requiring assistance with entry into the 37.5m lap pool
- Children’s and adult water wheelchairs available for use, including a pool cart for patrons unable to sit in a water wheelchair
- Cardio and strength training machines adaptable for patrons with physical limitations or disabilities
