Director, Engineering and Transportation, Raymond Fung
Engineering and Transportation Division ensures the safe and efficient movement of people, goods, and services within West Vancouver. It is responsible for construction, operation, and maintenance of the road and transportation system; for the collection and disposal of household recyclables, yard trimmings, and garbage; and a safe and continuous supply of drinking water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage.
Engineering undertakes an extensive capital program each year and undertakes Division-wide infrastructure management planning.
The Division provides technical expertise for municipal infrastructure projects; provides GIS and mapping services for the corporation and to the public; and operates the Blue Bus Transit system, the oldest continuously-operated municipal bus system in North America (1912).
