The District of West Vancouver plays a leadership role in bringing community partners together to address child care needs in the community.

Child and Family Hub at the Community Centre Civic Site

Collaborative, community based, co-located programs, and services that promote the healthy development and well-being of families and young children in West Vancouver.

Childcare Centres

In 2008 the District received funding from the Ministry for Children and Family Development to support new licenced child care spaces in West Vancouver. In 2010, two new childcare facilities opened.

• Ambleside Park Child Care Centre 
• Gordon House Childcare Centre 

Childminding

• West Vancouver Community Centre provides childminding services for the Civic Site for children six weeks to five years of age 
• Gleneagles Community Centre offers childminding services in the western region 

Recreation Programs for Children

There are a wide range of programs – from sports to birthday parties, from daycamps to art – available for children through Community Services. See the Leisure Guide for details.
