Spirit Trail Signage Photo 2011The North Shore Spirit Trail is envisioned as waterfront and family oriented multi-use greenway that will provide pedestrians, cyclists, inline skaters and people with wheeled mobility aids access across the North Shore. Once complete, it will connect North Shore communities from Horseshoe Bay to Deep Cove.

The North Shore Spirit Trail is a collaborative project of the District of North Vancouver, Tsleil-Waututh Nation, City of North Vancouver, Squamish Nation, and the District of West Vancouver.

Upcoming Public Consultations

The Engineering Department has recently begun public consultation on the western sections of the Spirit Trail, between Seaview Walk and the Ferry Terminal in Horseshoe Bay. For project updates, please visit Spirit Trail - Western Consultation.

Here are a few reminders for trail use:

  1. Please keep dogs leashed in on-leash areas
  2. Helmets are required when biking, roller blading, and skate boarding
  3. Please be respectful of others – walkers, cyclists, roller bladers, runners, and those in wheeled mobility aids
  4. Keep to the right and pass on the left

Bylaw Officers monitor the trail with respect to keeping dogs on-leash, wearing helmets as required, and ensuring that the path is being utilized in a safe manner.
