Advisory Committee on Disability Issues (ACDI)

Thursday, April 19, 2012

The Advisory Committee on Disability Issues (ACDI) is a tri-municipal committee that advises Council and staff of the three North Shore municipalities on issues affecting people with various types of disabilities.

The committee responds to requests from Council and staff, and makes recommendations to all three municipalities that promote, develop and sustain an accessible community, free of physical and social barriers.

The ACDI is a way of being active, contributing to a more accessible North Shore and participating in events that raise awareness about accessibility issues. Prospective voluntary members must have a disability; be a resident of one of the three North Shore municipalities; be available to attend monthly meetings; and be willing to actively participate in subcommittee and task group work.
