The Kay Meek Centre has applied for a liquor licence from 2pm to 10pm seven days a week. What a terrible idea for a couple of reasons:

  • What sort of message is that sending to the children attending the high school
  • Public transport isn't very frequent at night and I wonder how many people will drink and drive rather than waiting for a taxi.

If you are worried about this and it's impact on the community or your children, please let the council know by contacting them before the 26th of August. The address to write to is 750-17th Street West Vancouver BC. V7V 3T3.
