Committees & Groups

In addition to Council Standing/Select Committees, Working Groups on specific issues, each with a citizen lead with staff liaison and support, will ensure priorities identified by Council will receive focused attention.

A Standing Committee's members are appointed by the Mayor. At least half the members must be members of Council; the remainder are citizens. A Select Committee is created by Council Resolution. At least one member must be a Councillor; the remainder are appointed by Council, which will establish a specific mandate for the committee.
