Fire Permits

If you own or are interested in starting a business, there are specific permits that West Vancouver Fire & Rescue requires you to have, depending on your business type.

The BC Fire Code requires some buildings with occupancies over 60 will require a Fire Safety Plan.

For restaurants and bars, the following permits are required to operate legally:
- Dangerous Goods/Compressed Gas Permit
- Occupant Load Permit
- Temporary Occupant Load Permit (if asking to temporarily increase your occupant load for an event or hosting an offsite event in a temporary structure)

For landlords and rental property owners, the following permits are required to operate legally:

- Hot Works Permit Application
- Tower Crane Contract
