The District of West Vancouver employs more than 875 employees and provides services to more than 44,000 residents and 3,200 businesses.
Office of the CAO
The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) leads, coordinates and provides oversight for all District divisions and departments to ensure the District is accomplishing Council’s priorities and the public’s goals. More Information

The Community Relations & Communications Division is responsible for community relations and outreach; website, social media and publications; and media relations.

Corporate Services
The Corporate Services Division oversees the District’s Bylaws Department, municipal property transactions and legal services provided to the District. It also acts as the municipality’s liaison to the Squamish Nation.

Engineering
The Engineering Division is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of people and goods, and the provision of solid waste collection services in West Vancouver. More Information

The Financial Services Division provides a variety of support services to the District including financial planning, budgeting, risk, facility and asset management, and annual reporting. More Information
Fire & Rescue Services
Fire & Rescue Services provides emergency response, protects life, property and the environment, provides fire education programs, and enforces applicable bylaws, including the Fire Code. More Information

Human Resources provides labour relations, recruitment, training and development, attendance awareness, employment services, payroll, compensation, benefits administration, and health and safety. More Information

Memorial Library
The Memorial Library is a dynamic, free and welcoming space that inspires discovery and learning for visitors of all ages. With books, movies, music, free WiFi, research and homework help, an art gallery and programming for teens and children, the library is a learning hub and a community gathering place. Police Department
The West Vancouver Police Department is committed to serving the people and property of our community. The Police Department is governed by and reports to the Police Board. The Mayor is Chair of the Police Board. More Information
