COVID-19 Updates

The District of West Vancouver has developed an operating model to gradually restart services that were closed as a result of the pandemic. The first, and most important deciding factor when considering restarting any service is the safety of residents, businesses and staff. We will continue to keep the community informed of service level adjustments. To receive information by email, subscribe to e-west.

Projects by the District of West Vancouver and partner agencies:

Short-term projects

Marine Drive, west of Taylor Way

  • Traffic delays until Wednesday, July 22 due to construction at the adjacent development

20th Street, between Inglewood Avenue and Mathers Avenue

  • Traffic delays for two weeks, beginning on Monday, July 13, due to road construction

Long-term projects

Bruce Street and Nelson Avenue in Horseshoe Bay

  • Traffic delays from Saturday, June 13 to Friday, July 24 due to BC Hydro work
  • Full road closure of Nelson Avenue between Bruce Street and Bay Street (June 13–July 24). Local traffic will be permitted access in and out of homes. 

Cross Creek Road and 12th Street

  • Traffic delays until July 2020 due to watermain construction
