Interpretation of Natural Grade for Single Dwelling Properties

Zoning Bylaw #4662, 2010 defines Natural Grade as the undisturbed ground level formed without human intervention.

Where the undisturbed natural grade cannot be ascertained because of historic site manipulation or existing buildings or structures, the undisturbed existing grade as surveyed by a British Columbia Land Surveyor may be used for calculations that involve natural grade subject to approval by the Building lnspector.
