Grosvenor is proposing extensive interior and exterior renovations to the existing building at 1340 Marine Drive (“Handi Restaurant”) to establish a real estate sales centre for their redevelopment of the 1300 block. A Licence to Occupy is also proposed to facilitate a weather protection overhang that will encroach over the municipal sidewalk, and some Zoning Bylaw variances are proposed to reflect the transitional nature of the use (versus full build out of the site). Process
The proposal was reviewed by the Design Review Committee on January 23, 2014, and was supported by some comments.
On March 10, 2014, Council will be receiving the item and it is expected that the date for consideration of the proposed Development Permit will be set as March 31, 2014.
