Jan 9, 2020

In the wake of the tragic plane crash in Iran on Wednesday, the District is flying the flag at Municipal Hall at half-mast in memory of those who perished.

Many people in West Vancouver and across the North Shore and Canada are mourning the loss of their loved ones.

Residents who would like to sign a book of condolences may do so at Municipal Hall or the West Vancouver Community Centre until January 31.

A message from Mayor Mary-Ann Booth:

"The District of West Vancouver offers its heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of those who lost their lives in the recent plane crash in Tehran. Our thoughts are with the Persian Community at this very difficult time."
