Updated: What is the status of the B-line?

Dec 11, 2018

If you are hearing information in the community about the proposed B-Line and its implementation, it is important that our residents know that we are at the beginning of a process.

On Monday, December 10, Council met with TransLink and District staff to hear more about the proposed design details and supporting data for the B-Line. Council asked TransLink a number of questions and requested additional data. Council will meet with TransLink again in January to receive this further information.

Council will then work with staff to provide those details to the community and determine a consultation plan.

Council is looking forward to hearing from all members of the community.

Background

In 2019, TransLink plans to introduce four new rapid-service B-Line routes to Metro Vancouver as part of Phase One of the Mayors’ Council 10-Year Vision.

The Marine-Main B-Line (Dundarave to Phibbs Exchange) will connect the North Shore and will have four stops in West Vancouver: 24th Street, 21st Street, 14th Street, and Park Royal.
