West Vancouver Ice Arena patrons test positive for COVID-19
Feb 16, 2021
Today, the District of West Vancouver has been informed that participants in a program located at the West Vancouver Ice Arena (786 22nd Street) on Monday, February 8 have tested positive for COVID-19. Vancouver Coastal Health will follow up with the individuals and anyone who has been a close contact.
The Ice Arena remains open. The District has health protocols in place that include sanitizing program spaces at District facilities regularly throughout the day. Out of an abundance of caution, certain areas will undergo an additional enhanced cleaning overnight.
We know that British Columbia is still in the pandemic and we are taking all appropriate precautions. We encourage everyone in our community to take steps to stay safe and healthy and do their part to reduce transmission:
- stay home if you are sick
- wear a mask in all indoor public areas in accordance with Provincial rules/guidelines
- maintain two metres distance from others at all times
- wash your hands often
