The Director of Planning and Development Services considered and approved Minor Development Permit 23-120 on February 7, 2024, to retroactively permit an existing ground level rear addition on the north side of the existing building at 1745 and 1747 Marine Drive.

The owners of 1745 and 1747 Marine Drive have submitted an application for Minor Development Permit 23-120 to retroactively permit an existing ground level rear addition on the existing building on the subject site.
The applicant is seeking approval of the minor development permit to retroactively permit an existing ground level rear addition on the north side of the existing building. Minor development permits may be issued by the Director if the proposed development would be exempt from the requirement from a development permit pursuant to each development permit area exemption criteria but one or more variance to the zoning bylaw is required.
The applicants are requesting a minor zoning variance, as per proposed plans, to retroactively permit the rear addition.

Council has delegated the approval of minor development permits to the Director of Planning & Development Services, subject to public input.
