The Soda Crackers

The image is a medium shot of three people posing outdoors on a beach on a sunny day. In the foreground, on the left, is a man wearing a light-colored fedora with a dark band, a grey blazer over a light blue collared shirt, and a brown guitar strap across his chest. He is looking directly at the camera with a slight smile and has short, dark hair.

The Soda Crackers are a longtime trio blending the best of rootsy bluegrass, vintage country, swinging jazz, and Western swing into a warm, foot tapping soundscape. The group features Canadian Bluegrass Hall of Famer Sue Malcolm (vocals, guitar), Don Fraser (vocals, lead and resophonic guitar), and Stu MacDonald (vocals, upright bass)—all seasoned performers with deep ties to the regional music scene.  Michael Burnyeat is a Vancouver based, award winning fiddler and multi-instrumentalist whose artistry bridges Celtic, folk, and country traditions.
