Call to artists

The District of West Vancouver invites artists from the Lower Mainland and Sea to Sky Corridor to submit a proposal for a painted mural at the Ambleside Skatepark in West Vancouver.

Ambleside Skatepark is a highly visible location along the Ambleside waterfront with many users of the skatepark as well as year-round visitors to the park and beach.

The District is seeking artists who can create a vibrant mural that reflects the culture of the skatepark and its beautiful natural setting. The new mural should demonstrate imagination, originality, and reflect the community spirit and diversity of West Vancouver as well as the geography from the mountains to the sea, natural elements and/or outdoor experiences.

By transforming the space into a welcoming area, the art mural will promote community identity and a sense of belonging for all.
