Charging at Municipal Facilities
Effective June 1, 2023: charging your electric vehicle (EV) at District facilities will have a user fee.
On May 8, 2023, Council approved the introduction of EV charging fees to help recover the costs of operating the stations, improve turnover and availability, and support the expansion of the EV charging station network across the District.
Charging will require users to have a FLO account to initiate charging session. The FLO app is available for iOS and Android devices.
Electric vehicle charging stations are available at the following municipal facilities:
Municipal Hall, 750 17th Street
- one spot; four more being added in June 2023
- $2 per hour for the first two hours; $5 per hour after initial two hours
West Vancouver Community Centre, 2121 Marine Drive
- two spots
- $2 per hour for the first three hours; $5 per hour after initial three hours
Gleneagles Community Centre, 6262 Marine Drive
- two spots
- $2 per hour for the first three hours; $5 per hour after initial three hours
Charging Station in Horseshoe Bay
A BC Hydro charging station is located in Horseshoe Bay at 6400 Bruce Street.
Charging at this station should take approximately 10 to 30 minutes. There is a one-hour parking limit for charging to facilitate turnover.
This station may be used as a refuelling service only and not a short- or long-term parking option.
