Final Land Development Inspection Requirements

Prior to occupancy or final building inspection, all trade permits must be completed, and Land Development staff need to inspect the site to ensure compliance with the Boulevard Bylaw, Driveway Crossing Bylaw, and Driveway Grading Criteria. Below is a general list of items staff require.

General requirements to pass a final inspection for Land Development

  • Sanitary and storm inspection chambers are at grade, visible and accessible. No signs of damage.
  • The water meter and water shut-off are at grade, visible, and accessible.  No signs of damage.
  • Stormwater Management Schedule CB signed and sealed by your engineer – this will hold up the occupancy permit.
  • Boulevard works complete and comply with the Boulevard Bylaw and accepted plan
  • Driveway maximum is 4.5 metres and pathway is maximum 1.5 metres
  • Landscape on and off site is complete as per the accepted plan
  • Survey showing no encroachments on District of West Vancouver lands
  • Silt socks removed and catch basins are clean around the site
  • All ditches are clean and grassed as per standard
  • Any damage to neighbouring boulevards is repaired/replaced
  • No damage to municipal infrastructure
