June 2026 Update
The District received a development permit application for Lots B and C, and 2480, 2510 and 2605 Wentworth Avenue to allow for:
- subdivision of Lots B and C, and 2480 and 2510 Wentworth Avenue into 31 lots; and
- creation of a new District road within the Collingwood School Wentworth Campus site (2605 Wentworth) that would provide access to the proposed 31 lots.
A rezoning is not required. The proposed development permit is considered under the guidelines for "Future Neighbourhoods" and "Wildfire Hazard." The property was approved for a 29-lot subdivision in 2017, however it did not proceed.
The applicant hosted a public information meeting on the proposal on September 11, 2024. At its meeting on June 8, 2026, Council set the date (June 29, 2026) for consideration of the development permit.
