The fragrant aroma of your Christmas tree is gone and it's time to get rid of it. Wondering what to do with your old tree?

Find chip-up locations and other ways to dispose of it. Please remove all decorations before disposing of your tree.

CUT INTO BUNDLES for curbside collection

Christmas trees can be set out with your yard trimmings or in your Green Can on collection day, provided that it is prepared as follows:

  • Place small trimmings and branches in a lidded 77-litre can with a Yard Trimmings decal. Kraft paper bags with folded tops are also accepted.
  • Bundle twigs and branches with biodegradable string or twine. No wire, nylon, or plastic strapping is allowed.
  • At the curbside, place bundles beside, not inside, cans.
