The District of West Vancouver is monitoring US/Canadian tariffs and the impact on our supply chain. To support the efforts of the Province of BC and BC municipalities, District staff will be buying Canadian products where reasonable options exist.
We have a duty to act in the best interest of West Vancouver residents and taxpayers, and our objective is to avoid the effect of Canadian import tariffs wherever possible. To this end, we will be evaluating our dependency on US suppliers, while honouring our existing agreements and commitment to public procurement law. We hope for a swift resolution to the dispute.
