Expect heavy rainfall January 27–29. Be prepared.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the North Shore from Saturday, January 27 to Monday, January 29. Expect heavy rainfall and potential flooding during this time.

During periods of heavy rainfall:

  • Please take a few minutes to clear leaves from catch basins near your property so that rain water can drain from streets.
  • Slow down and drive carefully. Heavy downpours can cause water pooling on roads.
  • Stay clear of rivers due to quickly flowing water and potentially unstable riverbanks.
  • Have an emergency plan and kit to help you and your family be prepared for a power outage.

Report a problem

Call our dispatch line 24/7 at 604-925-7100 or submit an online service request to report flooding and fallen trees on roads and sidewalks, and for emergency service to roads, parks, water, and sewer. Online Service Request
