Council approved the Development Permit, with variances for the elevator over run and roof-top solar panels at its September 18, 2017 meeting. The mixed-use building includes ground-level commercial space with 16 residential units above and underground parking accessed from the lane.
Construction update
Expect intermittent traffic and pedestrian impacts on the 1300 block of Marine Drive owing to construction activity at 1327 Marine Drive. Work will take place between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Saturday, when necessary. Please note there are ongoing parking restrictions in front of 1327 Marine Drive to accommodate construction activity. Business access will remain, and the bus stop will remain open.
Work on Thursday, July 6 will include:
- A full laneway closure will be in effect in the laneway north of the 1300 block of Marine Drive, between 13th Street and 14th Street between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
- There will be temporary no parking in the parking stalls located in the laneway at 1330 Clyde Avenue (only stalls 17 through 20 will be affected)
- Traffic control personnel will coordinate with the crew to assist pedestrians and residents to pass by the site, or requiring access to their buildings
The following ongoing construction activities will take place as required for the remainder of the project:
Concrete pour work:
- Westbound traffic on Marine Drive will be restricted to one lane, adjacent to 1327 Marine Drive.
- There will be temporary parking restrictions on the north side, east and west of 1327 Marine Drive.
- There will be brief, temporary delays for both east and westbound vehicle traffic on Marine Drive to accommodate deliveries to the site.
Shotcrete concrete work:
- The sidewalk in front of 1327 Marine Drive will be closed to pedestrians.
- There will be brief, temporary delays for both east and westbound vehicle traffic on Marine Drive to accommodate deliveries to the site.
Construction signage and traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist with traffic flow.
